Kansas City Repertory Theatre's Internship Program is focused on creating opportunities for collaborative relationships between high school and college-aged students and the KC Rep's experienced theatre professionals. This program will use a combination of hands-on experience, professional training and mentorships to introduce students to the skills required to become the next generation of artists and arts administrators. We are committed to encouraging and guiding students through the transition from student to professional and tailor each internship experience to the current needs of our organization and to the experience and objectives of the intern.
Arts Management Internships are designed for candidates who intend to make arts administration their profession. Intern schedules are negotiable, but would typically fall between the hours of 9:00am - 5:00pm, Monday- Friday. Creative and Production interns are flexible and would include evening and weekend hours.
Internships are unpaid but students are encouraged to apply for college credit through their respective universities.
All Interns will be provided with hands-on, real world experience in a professional theatre environment. Interns will be full members of their departments, requiring them to attend appropriate departmental and staff meetings. The KC Rep Theatre's staff will provide each intern with training, guidance, and professional knowledge. In addition, interns receive free admission to Rep productions and the opportunity to visit and tour other local arts organizations. To apply, please contact 816.235.2707 or email@example.com.
