Audrey Ahlenius (Young Adult Ensemble) is so excited to be back for her second year of A Christmas Carol!  Recently she did Wonderland! with Community School of the Arts and A Lonely Boy's Guide to Survival (and Werewolves) with The Coterie Theatre.  She is also currently a part of Shakespeare Conservatory with Heart of America Shakespeare Festival.  She is an 8th grader at Lincoln College Prep.

 

 

Allison Banks (Children’s Ensemble, u/s Belinda & Simon) KC Rep: debut, Local: Science Fiction Triple Feature, Shrek (Coterie Theatre); Peter Cottontail III (Starlight Theatre); Ragtime (Metropolitan Ensemble Theatre); Buck Hoss, The Tempest (Relevance Productions); Upcoming: A Little Night Music (May 2014, Spinning Tree Theatre); Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (June 2014, Coterie Theatre). Allison is an eighth grade honor student at Bernard Campbell Middle School where she is a student council officer, student ambassador, and a member of orchestra and concert choir. Allison enjoys dancing, making movies, hanging with her little sister, Abby, and everything cat related. She would like to thank the KC Rep for this opportunity and her parents for always believing in her! 

 

 

Bella Barnes (Young Adult Ensemble) is ecstatic to be making her debut at the KC Rep! She is 14 years old and is an eighth grader at The Pembroke Hill School. Bella is a member of the local “Out Loud” acting troupe at the KC Public Library, and enjoys performing for audiences around the city. Her local credits include: Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland (Camelot Academy) Badness on the Banks of Brushy Creek (Shawnee Indian Mission) as well as numerous productions at her school. In addition to acting, Bella is an avid reader, and enjoys listening to music as well as writing for her school newspaper The Voice. She also enjoys running track and filmmaking.

Cam Burns (Tiny Tim, Boy Scrooge) KC Rep: A Christmas Carol (2 seasons), The Living Room’s Production of Carousel. Local credits: The Music Man (Gladstone Theatre in the Park), Bugsy Malone (Coterie Theatre Summer Camp).  Cam takes acting lessons with Michael Grayman and voice lessons with Vigthor Zophoniasson. He loves anything to do with the arts, especially singing and acting. Cam’s favorite things are playing the piano, being outdoors, and bacon. “I would like to thank Michael Grayman, Vigthor Zophoniasson and Kyle Hatley for teaching me so much these past two years. I feel honored to be able to learn from such talented people.”

 

 

Marek Burns (Ignorance, Children’s Ensemble) KC Rep: The Living Room’s Production of Carousel. Marek attends Lansing Elementary School and enjoys singing and taking acting lessons. His very favorite pastimes are writing comics, rock tumbling and taking all comers in living room wrestling matches. “I would like to thank Vigthor Zophoniasson, Michael Grayman and Bob Linebarger for teaching me so much.”

 

 

Janie Carr (Want, Children’s Ensemble) Jane is thrilled to return to the Kansas City Rep! She is 11 years old and is a 6th grader at St. Paul’s Episcopal Day School. She has appeared in productions at Starlight Theater, The Theater at Vis and Kansas Young Audiences and Coterie’s Summer Camp. Her favorite shows include Narnia, in which she played a sprite and served as the Understudy for Lucy, The Wizard of OZ at the Theater at Vis and Coterie’s Summer Camp production of Annie, Jr. in which she played Molly.  Jane also enjoys reading, singing, tennis, dance and basketball. "I feel so honored to be a part of this show again! I would like to thank the directors, cast members and my family and friends for all of their love and support!"

Dylan Cooper (Ignorance, Children's Ensemble) is appearing at Kansas City Rep for the first time in A Christmas Carol. He is currently in the second grade at Mill Creek Elementary School. Dylan enjoys Scouts, riding his bike, swimming and playing baseball. Dylan is thrilled to finally be part of this show after watching from the sidelines, “his whole life!”

 

 

Francis Cooper (Children's Ensemble) is appearing at Kansas City Rep for the fourth time in A Christmas Carol. Francis has participated in theatre summer programs with the Shawnee Mission School District and The Coterie Theatre.  He is currently in the sixth grade at Mill Creek Elementary School. Francis enjoys Scouts, riding his bike, swimming, playing soccer, football and guitar. Francis enjoys creating comics strips with his friends and would like to send a shout out to all his friends at Mill Creek Elementary school.

 

 

Lauren Daugherty (Children's Ensemble) is excited to be making her KC Rep debut. Lauren is a 7th grader at Our Lady of the Presentation School in Lee's Summit, MO.  She has performed locally with the Christian Youth Theater. Over the past year, Lauren has had the opportunity to work with Casting Director Megan Foley and participate in an acting session with Casting Director Heather Laird. In her down time Lauren loves to sing, play her guitar, and play basketball as well as spend time with family and friends. Lauren has been an active member in her school choir since its inception and has had 6 years of vocal training. She is very excited to be a part of the cast this year. "I would like to thank the cast and crew for this great opportunity. Georgia Dubois (Young Adult Ensemble) is thrilled to be back for her second year of A Christmas Carol. Georgia is a senior at Shawnee Mission East. KC Rep: A Christmas Carol, The Living Room’s production of Carousel. Local credits include Carousel (The Living Room); Boys Next Door, the Diviners (Shawnee Mission South); Anne of Green Gables (Metropolitan Ensemble Theater); Bridge to Terabithia, Children of the Damned Corn (Coterie Theatre); Christmas Festival (5 Seasons, Kauffman Center); and various productions with Musical Theater for Young People and StageRight Performing Arts. Georgia has studied acting under the direction of Nancy Marcy at the Coterie Theatre and Bob Linebarger at The Living Room Theatre. A second-year member of the National Honor Society and a three-year member of the International Thespian Society. Georgia spends her time writing and designing for her school's award winning newspaper, the Harbinger, playing piano, or singing as a seven-year member of the Kansas City Allegro Children's Choir. Christian’s special skills include accents, improv, Stage Combat (hand to hand & weapons), song writing, singing harmonies acapella, football, Dr. Who Trivia, Youngest of Four Brothers (Yes, That’s a Special Skill!).

 

 

Brett Gieras (Children's Ensemble) is thrilled to be making her KC Rep debut.  For three years she performed in a singing troupe, the Melody Makers. Brett has performed in the JCA's Theatre Camp in Jacksonville, FL for two summers.  Brett is a third grader at Westwood View Elementary School.  She loves to sing, draw and spend time with her family including her cat, Sweetie Pie. "I would like to thank my teacher Mrs. Winklebaur, the cast and crew, and my friends and family for their support."  

 

 

Katie Hall (Martha Cratchit) is so excited to be returning to A Christmas Carol! Her past experiences include A Christmas Carol (Belinda), August: Osage County (Jean) at the Kansas City Repertory Theatre, and the Living Room Theatre’s production of Carousel (ensemble) presented on the Kansas City Repertory stage; The Giver (Lily), Night of the Living Dead (Karen), and Little House on the Prairie (Mary) at the Coterie Theatre.  She currently takes the Coterie’s Master class taught by Nancy Marcy and is a junior at Pembroke Hill.

 

 

Preston Hereford (Young Adult Ensemble) is elated to be making his KC Rep debut! He is 17 years old and a senior at Lee's Summit West High School.  Favorite roles include: Puck (A Midsummer Night's Dream), Lowe (Damn Yankees), Jesus (Godspell), Elle's Dad/Cheerleader (Legally Blonde), Richard Maynard (Moon Over Buffalo), Terpsicore (Xanadu), Ensemble/Dancer (The Music Man), Gad/Potiphar Tapper (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat), Ghost of Christmas Present (A Christmas Carol), and Beadle Bamford (Sweeney Todd).  He is the Head of Publicity for the Lee’s Summit West theatre department, and is the head Cappie Critic at his school. Preston is a member of the Una Voce chamber choir, plays viola in the Lee's Summit West Symphony, and plays piano with 11 years of experience.  He is also a two-year member of the Missouri All-State Choir.  Preston would like to thank the creative team of A Christmas Carol, Mr. Rackers, Mrs. Krinke, Dr. Aidan Soder, and Mike Ervin for making him the performer he is today. He would also like to thank his friends and family for putting up with his insanity and for being so supportive.

 

 

Darcie Hingula (Belinda Cratchit) is ecstatic to be making her second appearance at the Kansas City Rep!  She is 10 years old and is a fifth grader at Clear Creek Elementary School.  She recently appeared in Sunday in the Park with George (Louise) at Musical Theater Heritage.  She has also performed in productions at The White Theatre, Kansas City Starlight Theatre, and numerous productions at Theatre in the Park. Darcie loves to sing and dance, and takes voice from Laure Ronnebaum and gets her dance training at Miller-Marley. "I am so thrilled to be a part of this production!  A big thank you to my voice and dance teachers, the directors and staff, cast members, and my family and friends.  And a special 'love you' to mom and dad!"

 

 

Addison Landes (Children's Ensemble) is thrilled to return to A Christmas Carol after playing Want in 2010. Some of her favorite roles include ZuZu Bailey in It's a Wonderful Life (American Heartland Theatre) and The White Rabbit in Wonderland (Kansas City Young Audiences). Away from the stage, she keeps busy with with commercials, film and all things creative including voice and dance instruction. Addison is a 5th grader at Black Bob Elementary where she is involved in special chorus, girl scouts, and plays cello. Addison would like to thank her family, friends, and instructors for their love and support.

 

 

Josephine Lenati (Children's Ensemble) is so honored to be performing with this incredible cast & crew. This is Josie’s second year in The Christmas Carol at the Kansas City Repertory Theatre. She also had to joy of working with the UMKC Theatre as Nadia in Burnt by the Sun. She has also performed as the notorious Gladys Herdman in The Best Christmas Pageant Ever and as Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz for Theatre for Young America. Josie has studied acting at Theatre for Young America since she was three and has also studied at KCYA’s Community School of the Arts and at Patti Beller Studio. Josie sends love and appreciation to her family, friends, John Mulvey, Mrs. Hatton, Roesland Elementary, and Mrs. Roediger! 

 

 

Ember Lewis (Children's Ensemble, u/s Belinda) KC Rep: debut.  Ember has appeared at Gladstone Theatre in the Park and recently attended an acting/singing/dancing/modeling workshop in L.A.  She is in the sixth grade at St. Andrew the Apostle School, is a level 7 gymnast at Kansas City Gymnastics, and takes voice lessons.

 

 

Erin Lowe (Young Adult Ensemble) KC Rep: A Christmas Carol (3 seasons) Local: Grey Gardens (Unicorn Theatre); Anne of Green Gables (Metropolitan Ensemble Theatre); Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (The New Theatre); The Music Man (Starlight Theatre); Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Cinderella, Disney Double Feature (Shawnee Mission Theatre in the Park; The Music Man (Pembroke Hill Upper School). Erin is an eighth grader at The Pembroke Hill Middle School. In addition to acting, Erin enjoys singing, dancing, aerial silks, competing in  National History Day, completing her Silver Award with the Girl Scouts, being a Student Ambassador at school and baking brownies from a secret family recipe.

 

 

Julia Masterson (Children's Ensemble, u/s Ignorance) is so excited about making her debut in A Christmas Carol! She’s 11 years old, and is a 6th grader at Oxford Middle School. She has been in shows with Music Theatre for Young People . Her favorite show was Seussical the Musical, an Alumni show. Julia also loves to dance and tumble at Valley View Dance Studio. She has competed and won Nationally for Hip Hop Flip Flop, a combination hip hop/tumbling team. Julia has also been taking voice lessons at Miller-Marley since Summer 2012. "I am so excited to perform in this amazing show! I would like to thank my family and voice teacher, Jay Coombes, friends, directors, and cast, for all of their love, help and support! Local: The Skin of Our Teeth, Death of a Salesman, South Pacific, Into the Woods, Never Trust a City Slicker (Blue Valley Northwest); AIDA, Guys and Dolls (Christian Youth Theater); The Diary of Anne Frank (Culture House). Regional: The Music Man, Steel Magnolias (Clear Brook High School); Into the Woods, Sound of Music, Suessical the Musical, The Mikado, Fiddler on the Roof (Upstage Arts). Cori is a senior at Blue Valley Northwest and plans to major in history and anthropology. She would like to thank her mom for always having faith in her even when she didn't have it in herself. She would also like to thank the cast and crew for making her Christmas season so memorable and unique and special. 

 

 

Sean Moise (Young Adult Ensemble) Sean is thrilled to be returning to the Kansas City Rep's stage after appearing in last season’s A Christmas Carol and The Living Room's production of Carousel. Sean is 17 years old and is a junior at Park Hill High School. Other credits include Bridge to Terabithia at the Coterie Theatre and The Philo Farnsworth Invention at UMKC. Aside from acting, Sean enjoys playing tennis. After seeing the KC Rep's production of A Christmas Carol every year since he was 6, Sean is honored to now be a part of this yearly tradition.

 

Elena Nanneman (Young Adult Ensemble, Violin) is very excited to participate in A Christmas Carol this year at KC Rep! She is 15 years old and attends school at Shawnee Mission West High School. Elena has appeared in several musical performances with the Ottawa Suzuki Strings. Elena also loves to dance. She was enrolled at Beller Dance Studio at the age of 2 years old, and continues to pursue her great talent in playing music and bringing joy to the community. “I’m a huge fan of the arts programs and performances, I am very grateful and excited to be a part of this wonderful play! I would like to thank my violin teacher, Shirley Star, for helping me become the musician I am today, the cast members and directors for all your hard and dedicated work into this production. Ezie Nguyen (Young Adult Ensemble) is very excited to be making his debut at the Kansas City Rep! He is a 17 year old senior at Staley High School. In school, he is involved with theater, student government, and Spanish club. His favorite roles have been in Footloose (Jeter) and Once Upon A Mattress (Minstrel). This Christmas season, he will also be performing A Christmas Carol at his high school where he will be portraying Scrooge. Khalil Odums (Children's Ensemble) Khalil is thrilled to be returning for his second season at the Kansas City Repertory Theatre! He’s a Freshman at Paseo Academy of Fine and Performing Arts majoring in Theatre.  He’s the current President of the Show-Me Arts Committee at Paseo. The committee advocates for arts programming by working with their local state representatives.  This past summer he performed in Footloose at Starlight Theatre and he’s in his second season as a troupe member in Starlight Stars of Tomorrow.  Other prior performances include productions through the Coterie, The Gorilla Theatre, & Paseo Academy of Fine and Performing Arts. He’s passionate about performing and loves to sing, act and dance.  He enjoys training through various theatre and vocal workshops. “I’m truly humbled to be returning to A Christmas Carol and getting the chance to once again work with so many talented people.  I would like to give a special thanks to my Starlight Stars of Tomorrow family: Christina Burton (Choreographer), Jason Elam (Music Director), Amy Reinert (Director of Education & Outreach), and Andy Pierce (Education Coordinator).  I thank you for your continued support and belief in me. Faith O'Neal (Children's Ensemble) has been a dancer since the age three years old. She has performed for the Harlem Globetrotters, the KC Wizards, Michelle Obama, and Beyoncé Knowles’ Let's Move Campaign Pilot Studio. Faith is in the 6th grade at St. Paul's Episcopal Day School. She speaks French and Mandarin. Faith's favorite show is "Glee" and she also enjoys singing along with the contestants on "The Voice". Faith says, "Joining the cast of A Christmas Carol is so amazing, everyone is so talented and inspiring! Many thanks to the best dance studio in the world, Jann Wynn’s Wynn Twins School of Dance. " 

 

 

Daniel Owens (Peter Cratchit) KC Rep: debut. LOCAL: Peter Pan (John Darling), Disney Double Feature (Shawnee Mission Theatre in the Park); You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown (Schroeder), Narnia (The Fox), Seussical (Wickersham Brother), The Sound of Music (Kurt von Trapp), Aladdin Jr., Scrooge (Tiny Tim), Music Man  (Christian Youth Theatre). Daniel is in the High School Honor Choir at Kansas City Christian College. He studies private voice with Jay Coombes and piano with Heather Mueller. Daniel received a Piano Honorable Mention at the State Competition. Daniel would like to thank his family, his friends and God.

 

 

Colton Richards (Young Adult Ensemble) is thrilled to be making his debut at the Kansas City Rep!  He is 15 years old and is a freshman at Park Hill South High School.  He has appeared in productions around the KC metro area, including Heart of America Shakespeare Festival, Kansas City Youth Audiences, and Gladstone Theatre in the Park.  Film includes Define Fast Productions on YouTube and with the Missouri Lottery Commission.  His favorite performance to star in was as Randolph in Bye, Bye Birdie.  Colton loves to perform on any stage, run cross country, blogging, and making short films.  He currently takes private vocal and acting lessons, along with dance lessons.  “It is an honor to perform with the KC Rep.  Many thanks to my family, friends, Bob Linebarger, Lauren Braton, the directors, and cast members.  Also, my first theatre teachers Mrs. Mary Vincent and Jason Crespin!”

 

 

Olivia Shackelford (Children's Ensemble, Want) is very excited to be making her debut at the Kansas City Rep!  She is 9 years old and is a 4th grader at Prairie View Elementary.  She was in the Raytown Arts Council's production of Sound of Music this summer in which she played the part of Marta.  Olivia dances at the Miller-Marley School of Dance and Voice.

Spencer Steer (Peter Cratchit) "I am excited to be a part of this year’s Christmas Carol performances. I am 14 years old and am an 8th grader at Pembroke Hill Middle School. I have been in the youth performance of A Mid-Summer Night’s Dream for the Shakespeare Festival, and my school play 2 years in a row. I love music and acting. I also enjoy football, but one of my favorite activities is boxing, and I have been training for about 4 years now.  I would like to thank my theatrical arts teacher, Lynn King, in helping me better myself in acting. I would also like to thank my parents for supporting me throughout this process. I am so thankful for this opportunity to perform in this year’s A Christmas Carol as the part of Peter Cratchit."

 

 

Andrew Stout (Tiny Tim, Boy Scrooge) is delighted to be back at the Kansas City Rep with all of his Christmas Carol friends! He is 12 years old and in the sixth grade at Mill Creek Middle School in Shawnee, Kan. He has appeared in several productions in the Kansas City area as well as at the Port Elizabeth Opera House in South Africa where he lived for a few years. Andrew is a singer with the Allegro Choirs of Kansas City (Vivo), studies piano/voice at Lori Clark Piano & Voice Studio and private dance with Andy Parkhurst.  His is still hooked on the Rubik’s cube thanks to Emmy! “It is so amazing to be a part of A Christmas Carol! Drake Taylor (Children's Ensemble, u/s Peter, Ignorance) is thrilled to be in his second production of this holiday tradition at the Rep. Drake is ten years old and an honor student in 4th grade. Favorite roles include Tiny Tim at the Rep, JoJo in Seussical Junior and Simon in Big River.  Drake first shuffled onto the stage at age three when he began training with Monica's School of Dance and is now a competitive dancer.   Drake is the 2013 International Dance Challenge Jr. Male Solo Champion. He is also a Fuzion Dance Chicago Scholarship Recipient. His latest endeavor includes a feature role in the independent film, Grim EvilHe also enjoyed a feature role in the film, Behind Billy’s Beard.  Drake would like to thank Director Kyle Hatley, his fellow cast and crew members, G. Leayn Losh, his voice teacher and acting mentor, Stephanie Goodman, and his dance teacher, Monica Renwick. When Drake is not on stage he enjoys computers and electronics. Drake sends heartfelt thanks to his parents for nurturing his love of theatre, dance and learning.

 

 

Devyn Trondson (Simon, Children's Ensemble) KC Rep: debut. Local: Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (New Theatre); Children of Eden, Disney Double Feature (Shawnee Mission Theatre in the Park); Annie Get Your Gun (MidAmerica Nazarene University); Narnia, Seussical Jr., Robin Hood (Christian Youth Theatre); Bugsy Malone Jr. (Coterie Theatre Summer Camp). Devyn is in the Allegro Community Choir and has performed with the Kansas City Symphony. She attends Trailridge Middle School where she is in the seventh grade. Devyn loves music…not only singing but playing around on the piano and guitar. She would like to thank her teachers and coaches for inspiring her and empowering her with confidence to reach for her dreams. 

 

 

Mia Vaught (Belinda Cratchit) is thrilled to be back with her 4th season of A Christmas Carol at the KC Rep. Local Credits include Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (New Theater Restaurant, 2011) and The Little Mermaid (Indian Hills Middle School, 2013) . She studies voice with Ashley Wheat, sings in the Allegro Choir and is an 8th grader at Indian Hills Middle School. Mia plays the violin in her school orchestra and Dances at Miller Marley School of Dance and Voice. She is a proud member of the Miller-Marley Entertainers. “I would like to thank my mom, dad and sister for their support and I would like to thank the amazing cast and crew. Lastly,  I would like to thank Kyle Hatley for the opportunity to be a part of this amazing production!!”

 

 

Margaret Veglahn (Simon, Children's Ensemble) was a Snow Child in Carousel and Want in A Christmas Carol at Kansas City Repertory Theatre.  She has performed with the sketch comedy troupe Right Between the Ears and was the voice of Annie Darwin in The Darwin Project, produced by The Friends of Chamber Music. This summer she played Gracie Shinn in The Music Man.  She has performed three summers with the Barn Players Kids, and was Rebecca Gibbs in Our Town at Village Church. She sings in the Allegro Choir and plays the cello. She loves her dog Scruffy and her guinea pig Miss Sprinkles: they have taught her everything she knows about being adorable.

 

 

Megan Wagner (Martha Cratchit) is thrilled to be in her 1st Rep show!  She is a Senior at Blue Valley North, a master acting Coterie student and a has performed with Music Theatre for Young People.  Upon graduation she plans to pursue her degree in Theatre Arts. Many blessings to you this holiday season! 

 

 

Catie Wolff
(Children's Ensemble) is happy to be working with the Kansas City Rep once again!  She is 13 years old and an 8th grader at Bernard Campbell Middle School.  Most recently, Catie was Kirstie in Number the Stars with the Coterie Theater.  Catie enjoys playing violin and bass.

Austin Zollars (Young Adult Ensemble) Austin – 14, is making his fourth appearance with KC Repertory Theatre.  He has performed in the last three seasons with the KC Rep’s  A Christmas Carol  as Simon. His recent theater appearances include Billy, in On Golden Pond at the New Theatre, and Bridge to Terabithia at the Coterie Theatre.  Austin was an orphan in Oliver and a Lost Boy in Peter Pan at the Jewish Community Center White Theater, Zazu in The Lion King at The Barstow Theater, and Avram in Fiddler on the Roof at French Woods Performing Arts in Hancock NY. Austin is a Freshman student at The Barstow School where he is on the JV (captain) and Varsity Soccer teams. He lives in Leawood, Kan. with his Mom, Dad, Grammy Helen and Dog Cole.
